Monday, February 6 at 11:56 am is the official deadline for eviction of the Occupy Pittsburgh camp at the People’s Park. Occupy Pittsburgh participants and supporters will demonstrate at the camp beforehand to show that an injunction or an eviction will not stop this movement, to stand up for the freedom of speech and of assembly, to celebrate Occupy Pittsburgh’s achievements over the last four months, and to say loud and clear: “You can’t evict an idea whose time has come.”

—Two Days After the Third Eviction Deadline

February 8th, 2012--Two days after the third deadline for eviction, Occupy Pittsburgh remains at People’s Park. Multiple skycam teams in local hotels overlooking People's Park--and over 12 video livestreamers on the ground--have streamed live video feeds of the park from multiple angles, making our commitment to accountability clear, and successfully protecting our family and friends at the camp.

"Somewhere I read of the freedom of assembly. Somewhere I read of the freedom of speech. Somewhere I read of the freedom of press. Somewhere I read that the greatness of America is the right to protest for right. And so just as I say we aren't going to let any dogs or water hoses turn us around, we aren't going to let any injunction turn us around. We are going on. We need all of you." -- Martin Luther King, Jr., April 3, 1968
