Occupy Pittsburgh, along with other organizations, like Unite Here, rallied at Kingley Center then marched to Bakery Square, to highlight the development's failed promise to deliver jobs, it's negative effect on Larimer and other surrounding communities, and the SpringHill Suites Marriott hotel's failure to allow hotel workers to unionize, despite that being a provision for tax incentives they received. Occupy Pittsburgh read its Declaration of Human rights, while curious shoppers and the Bakery Square developer looked on.
